Journey to Cabezon

Join Rick, Frank, Roger and I as we fly out to Cabezon Peak, and then over to the vents. I did this flight last year with Frank and Jeff but this time, we capture the action up close! A third camera was installed on my Trike to get some more interesting shots.

If you interested in hiking, Summit Post maps Cabezon and other Volcanoes in the vicinty using Google Earth and gives tips on when/where/how to climb them.

Damien states: Karey, I've got this green material I hang on my garage and light it using industrial lights from home depot. I use After Effects to green screen Spencer and Premiere to edit. Way too much to go into detail about. I'm not 100 percent happy with my setup, and am planning to paint my whole garage wall green to get a bigger, more even screen. I started small using tiny bits of material and doing tests using small objects to get a feel for it. You need a good camera too to capture the background evenly. Send me an email and I can enlighten you further.
MBG - thanks! August 21, 2006, 9:39 pm

Karey August 21, 2006, 7:38 pm

Damien states: Paul, get your gear together and get on down here for a month! August 21, 2006, 12:35 am
Damien states: Jeff, as your trike is out of action for now, I am sure you would be very happy to get some air time and see your smelly shoes in the camera!
Looking forward to when you get back in the air, weather will be in the prime soon, so I am hoping we can get some decent flights in (of course, I cannot go much longer than 3 hours on my tank!) August 21, 2006, 12:34 am

PaulS. states: awesome footage! cant wait till I can join in August 21, 2006, 12:33 am
jeff states: I really liked that new camera angle, nose done from above. But as I watched this latest video, I kept thinking how much more pleasant the scene would be if it featured the smooth, podded nose of my trike instead of your ugly old shoes.
