Olivier states: Ya, exciting! Very special area you fly in. Where is it in the US ? I like some of your musical choices also, editing is good and your technic of having a camera attached to your helmet is super. I will try that in our next \'sortie\' with Mike. My problem is that I DON\'T usually wear a helmet... Maybe I will tape the thin\' around my head, would it work ?
Can I send you a Mpeg4 sample or two of our new film ? The film \'Coast to Coast\' is going into its first festival in October, and then onto DVD later around December.
It\'s not about a huge expedition like the 1999 South to South, we only flew 4 months this time, covering a bit over 10\'000 km, but we made great progresses with the cam handling and various technics. Sceneries are really good and it\'s not only about flying.
It\'s all in Africa this time, but we not only see the planet from up there, we also show lots of other things that might widen numbers of potential buyers (pilots are minority). There are lots and lots of wild animals, inter-action with people (we took over 100 Africans for flips, to celebrate the 100 years of aviation of the Wright Bro), and ground sequences. Of course we took as much care as possible
on all the flying scenes, and I am happy with the result. The film is 52 minutes and there are 11 soundtracks of quality, some of quite famous bands, so we spent some money on the rights but that\'s okay as we not only aiming for money (surely not!) but mainly to produce something that encompass all the aspects of our passion to travel by \'Flying Lawnmowers\' and creating something we love and sharing it. I did most of the editing myself (Final Cut Pro HD + Mac G5) and Mike did some pieces. As you said so well, editing brings a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction (I can get now.. !). And every time, we get better and better, so Damien, continue, because you definitely have talents for it.
Best to you and all your friends
Fly safe ! Always.
Olivier September 8, 2005, 11:22 pm

Larry from Australia states: Just downloaded & watched your latest video effort & I have to say you\'ve really got it down. Made me want to book my ticket to New Mexico & fly over that unbelievable terrain. Landing on Route 66.... classic!
And the part where you are both in the frame with the train, just magic.
Excellent work mate!
Has anyone suggested adult nappies for Frank? September 6, 2005, 6:58 pm
Frank states: Another fabulous video. The train race looked scary. Let\'s not do that again. Thanks for the Travel John link \"Colorado Freebird\". Jeff Gilkey tells me the rubber glove works well. I think he just likes that hand feeling. Myself, I\'m old fashoned. I want to have my feet planted firmly on the ground before I spread the scent. What better excuse than to land out (if you dare). No rubber glove for me. September 6, 2005, 6:43 pm
